In this contribution, I reflect on how Nordic TA has emerged through the interplay between an existential view of humanity, therapeutic practice, and Nordic collaboration. Based on the Responsibility Model and Berne’s concept of physis, the focus is on the conditions that make human development possible — in therapy, organizations, and society.
The closing session will conclude the conference by opening a shared reflection on physis in a Nordic context.

Dr. Roland Johnsson
TSTA-P, PhD, Psychologist, Psychotherapist
Our next speaker hardly needs an introduction in the Nordic TA community. Roland Johnsson is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, and TSTA-P who has been involved in the development of Transactional Analysis in the Nordic countries for several decades. His work bridges existential philosophy, clinical practice, and research, and has been recognised internationally, including the EATA Gold Medal and the ITAA Research Award. Today he will reflect on the Nordic contribution to Transactional Analysis and the conditions under which physis can flourish.
